Гроб с телом Елизаветы II опустили в королевский склеп в часовне Виндзорского замка


Гроб с телом британской королевы Елизаветы II опустили в королевский склеп в часовне Святого Георгия на территории Виндзорского замка вечером в понедельник, 19 сентября. Трансляция велась в эфире ведущих телеканалов королевства, церемония сопровождалась похоронной песнью в исполнении одинокого королевского волынщика.

Декан Виндзора епископ Дэвид Коннер, который проводил погребальную службу в часовне, произнес псалом 103 из Псалтыри, далее герольдмейстер ордена Подвязки (высшего рыцарского ордена Великобритании) Дэвид Вайнс Уайт зачитал все титулы монарха. Панихида по королеве Великобритании в Виндзоре окончилась молитвой архиепископа Кентерберийского (духовного главы Церкви Англии) Джастина Уэлби.

Публичные мероприятия по случаю похорон Елизаветы II были завершены исполнением британского гимна.

После этого новый король Соединенного Королевства Карл III и члены монаршей семьи уехали из часовни и отправились в Виндзорский замок.

18 сентября в память о королеве Елизавете II в Великобритании прошла общенациональная минута молчания. Траурный ритуал начался ровно в 20:00 по местному времени (22:00 мск).

12 сентября гроб с телом доставили в Букингемский дворец. Вдоль улиц выстроились толпы людей, некоторые бросали цветы в сторону черного катафалка в знак уважения к королеве.

Королева Великобритании Елизавета II умерла 8 сентября в возрасте 96 лет в замке Балморал в Шотландии. Новым королем стал старший сын королевы принц Чарльз, взявший имя Карл III. 16 сентября новый король с членами семьи провел традиционное траурное бдение у гроба с телом Елизаветы II в Вестминстерском дворце в Лондоне.

Елизавета II царствовала свыше 70 лет и стала самым долгоправящим и старейшим монархом в истории Великобритании.

Ряд политиков и общественных деятелей выразили соболезнования в связи с ее смертью. Российский президент Владимир Путин сказал, что с именем Ее Величества неразрывно связаны важнейшие события новейшей истории Великобритании. Посол РФ в Лондоне Андрей Келин заявил, что Елизавета II — пример для подражания для миллионов граждан Соединенного Королевства.
