Vasif Talibov has celebrated 25 years of leadership of the Autonomous Republic. I wrote an article about political will, self-sacrifice, love of the people and a life of hard work. I want to present it to our readers again.

The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle wrote in Politics that faith is an integral part of politics as an important means of success. In this sense, the chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov also achieved all the successes in big politics and public administration thanks to the great love, moral support and trust of the people. The most important fact is that Mr. Vasif Talibov was able to create a moral integrity of society, along with economic success in the blockaded Nakhchivan. A true leader is distinguished from other people by the fact that he does not act as a passive observer of the events and processes around him, nor does he show indifference to the events. His will, determination, ability to assess the events quickly, not to be afraid of any risks prove that his goals are a happy future for the people, a bright future.

The determination and principledness of Vasif Talibov, a worthy successor of the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s school, to protect the national statehood, in this sense, also demonstrates his determination to lead. We all know the political and economic situation in Nakhchivan in the 1990s. It was in those difficult years, with the blessing of Heydar Aliyev, that he was appointed leader of Nakhchivan. He did not shy away from responsibility in difficult and complicated political conditions, on the contrary, he did not remain indifferent to the problems of his people and state, but demonstrated his perseverance and love for his people. Vasif Talibov has been successfully fulfilling his mission during this period and today.
Thanks to the implementation of the development strategy defined by our national leader, we have been proud of the progress of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 25 years. All this is the result of exemplary patriotism, deep loyalty to the state, stability, socio-economic growth, and most importantly, the care of the leader. During one of his visits to Nakhchivan, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said, “Heydar Aliyev came to his homeland, his birthplace — Nakhchivan. His arrival saved Nakhchivan from troubles. The people of Nakhchivan protected Heydar Aliyev, and Heydar Aliyev protected Nakhchivan, ”he said, noting that important steps had been taken in the socio-political life of Nakhchivan and how important the leadership of the autonomous republic had done for the people in this direction.

Public trust and confidence are the main conditions for success in political activity. Only those who base their activities on the principle of decent service to the people and prove it by practical work deserve high trust. For this reason, political activity based on public opinion and serving the interests of the people is always supported and appreciated. During the independence period, a perfect model of development was created in the autonomous republic. This model is based on the principles of endless loyalty to the political line of Heydar Aliyev, the guarantor of our state independence and sustainable development, and service to the people. The great French educator Voltaire once wrote, «Work is not created for an idea — an idea is created for work.» During these years, the comprehensive development path of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has become a real-life manifestation of the idea formed for the people and the state. Today, in Nakhchivan, wherever you look at the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, you witness comprehensive reforms. So many great achievements have been made over the past period that it is an incredible reality to achieve these successes under the blockade. The renaissance of Nakhchivan from development to the renaissance is the result of the correct management of the great political figure, statesman, Chairman of the Supreme Assembly, an incomparable example of patriotism and patriotism. In one of his speeches, national leader Heydar Aliyev said, “işlər Things are going well in Nakhchivan. When I chose Vasif Talibov for this position, I knew many of his features. He proved that a person who is loyal to his homeland, nation and people, regardless of age, can do great things, ”he said. This statement was made as a result of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov justifying the confidence of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.

December 16, 1995 was a turning point for Nakhchivan. The achievements of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic over the years have been realized under the leadership of Vasif Talibov, a worthy successor of the great leader Heydar Aliyev’s school. Throughout its history, Nakhchivan has not undergone such a great development. For a quarter of a century, the autonomous republic has developed rapidly in almost all areas. Let’s not forget that all this happened under blockade. Surrounded by an enemy country, with no land border with the capital Baku, such success is due to extraordinary skill, managerial superiority and, most importantly, love of country. Administrative, social, educational and other facilities have been built in such a modern style in all cities, districts, settlements and even remote villages of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, modern roads and all infrastructure fully meet modern requirements.

When I visit the Ordubad region and villages where I was born, a person’s heart rejoices. I would like to emphasize here the radical innovations, landscaping and construction works that have a pleasant effect on everyone’s taste. I also owe it to myself to note that on January 13, 2020, new social facilities were put into operation in the village of Vanand. These innovations have caused great joy among the population. The local residents expressed their gratitude to the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly, who personally attended the opening ceremony of the facilities. It was the embodiment of the love between the leader and the people, bound by unbreakable cords. Everyone greeted him as a native and spoke his heart out. Look, this is to win the love of the people through their practical work.

Now every visitor and tourist who comes to Nakhchivan expresses his desire to return with great consent. This attitude is the result of Nakhchivan’s clean, prosperous and modern appearance. Today, not every kind word about Nakhchivan and the large-scale projects implemented here is a compliment, but the real and undeniable realities of Nakhchivan.
One of the most appreciated points is the preservation of national and moral values ​​in the modernizing Nakhchivan, the preservation of traditions today, the unchanging family model and traditions. It is the preservation of Azerbaijani culture in Nakhchivan. That is, when the principles of modernization are laid on national roots, its life is long.

As a citizen, I owe it to myself to evaluate the constructive measures taken under the leadership of the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov, especially the continuous work done for the security and defense of Nakhchivan over the years. Today, both protected and reconstructed modern Nakhchivan will go down in history in golden letters. In the history of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, written in golden letters, the name of Vasif Talibov has long gone down in history in golden letters.
The great victory of our brave Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev will lead our whole Azerbaijan and our integral part Nakhchivan to a greater bright future.
